What if Christians obeyed Gods Word in the area of sexual purity? The power of sex and its ability to ruin our lives, is an important truth that is many times overshadowed by our present day media.

A 14 year old girl approached me at an event that I was apart of. She said her boyfriend wants sex or he will break up with her. She was confused. She was upset. She was searching for love. As I have traveled across the U.S. engaging in young people's lives, this story continues to be the cry of so many young girls' hearts: "Searching for love in all the wrong places." It seems to be almost a secret that is sometimes hidden and not talked about. Also, pornography consumes the minds and hearts of countless teenage guys who have yet to experience the truth of what real love is and what it looks like to become a man after Gods own heart. Sex is glorified, from billboards and movies, to magazines, video games, television, internet, and music. Satan has used sex as an object to gain a foothold into the lives of Christians, as well as non-Christians. True love and intimacy has been replaced with momentary sex.

Our selfish world paints a picture of sex that appears to be attractive and satisfying, yet God paints another picture for us. He says that sex can only be truly fulfilling and satisfying within a marriage relationship. God says in 1 Corinthians 6:18 to "RUN from sexual sin." No other sin more clearly affects our lives, and even our physical bodies, as sexual sin. God's Word teaches that sexual immorality is a sin, literally, against our own bodies!

It is time we begin to choose Gods' way rather than the worlds' way! What if we took Gods Word to heart in first Corinthians 6:18 and we began to "RUN" from the sin of sexual immorality? I want to take the time to address these real, urgent, un-talked about issues with your students. Through Gods Word and sincere love, I believe we can take an issue that is on every young persons mind, submit it to truth, and begin to learn how to live out a commitment to Gods perfect plan for our lives.
