Scott Faircloff is a songwriter and a Contemporary Christian Artist, who predominantly leads worship, but who also enjoys the artist side of recording and sharing his music. He has recorded two major label CD projects, both under the name Scott Faircloff, and is currently preparing his third project under the name Scott Faircloff, dropping the last five letters of his last name so that it is easier to pronounce and remember. He has had the blessing of having his songs recorded by several artists including Avalon, Stacie Orrico, Lifehouse, By The Tree, and 4HIM. As a recording artist, he has also enjoyed having his songs on Christian Radio, Christian Video, and a spot in a major Christian film. His passion, however, is worship and over the last six years, he has had the privilege of traveling across the US leading churches and youth camps in praise and worship, and contemporary Christian music. “I can’t think of anything more rewarding than leading people in the experience of worship and being a facilitator of drawing people closer to Christ. I think the only thing that can beat that is knowing Christ personally and leading others in the saving knowledge that comes from knowing Jesus Christ as their personal Savior,” says Scott.
“My own personal journey began in the great Pacific Northwest, where I was saved at the age of 15, and began using my gifts and talents for the Lord around the age of 19. I was groomed as a songwriter and producer by local area producers and engineers in the Portland and Seattle area. I was trained and equipped in the area of praise and worship through the Vineyard church I attended near Tacoma, Washington,” Scott says. It was in 1987, while playing basketball with a close friend, that Scott was challenged to take more seriously the call of music ministry. He responded by collaborating with producer Joe Riggio on a small EP of worship and contemporary Christian music. Before the year was out, the Lord had given him favor with the EP, and he ended up signing his first major recording contract. “In this past year of 2003,” Scott continues, “I have had the pleasure of writing and producing for Maranatha Music, and continue to look forward to the times when I will be out on the road again; amongst my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, singing songs about the Christian faith and lifting up the precious Name of Jesus Christ!”
