For anyone else this would be an overstatement, but for 3 guys who forsook all in small town Alabama to pursue a dream, it is gargantuan! Thalon's desire is to have a Christian influence in the world we know as secular music. As a matter of fact their mission statement is as such. "In it but not of it" is the battle cry for Thalon as they have, for the past 2 years, made a difference in their circle of influence and continue to thrive on love and faith through their commitment to Christ. Now come full circle and see the difference they make in the lives of young people as they minister in a church/youth group setting, conveying the realness of "in it but not of it" and challenging young Christians to make a difference. Their roots are deep and their passion is rare. Four new songs produced by renowned producer/musician/songwriter, Tomas Costanza, (tours with Simple Plan, Hoobastank, Good Charlotte, Lifehouse), and working alongside acclaimed producers such as Don Gilmore, (Linkin Park), Mark Trombino, (Blink 182), and Steve Albini, (Nirvana, Led Zeppelin), gives the listener a glimpse of the magnitude of potential Thalon has to have an influence in the music industry, which in turn, opens the door and affords the platform to make a difference for Christ. Austin Childress - Guitar, Lead Vocal Thalon is available for dates immediately and would love the opportunity to be a part of your outreach event or lead in cutting edge praise and worship. Wow!!! Thalon was great and students all across the MS. Gulf Coast got to see them rock the house for Christ in an incredible way with our partnership with Youth For Christ. I can truly say that our entire staff thought they were incredible...one of the best, most encouraging and servant -minded groups we have been privileged to host in our ministry in 20 public school campuses and our Extreme Teen Center. Bottom Line...You can't go wrong with these guys if God leads them your way!! Blessings, I highly recommend the band Thalon to you! These 3 gifted musicians have a passion for youth and a passion for ministry. They really connected with our youth both on stage and off. When you mix their talent and enthusiasm with their humility and love for God and teens, you get a great concert! The First Baptist Church Youth Ministry of Starkville, MS had the opportunity to host the guys of Thalon on a Wednesday night. Being involved in youth ministry for many years, you see all kinds of groups come in to lead. Occasionally musical groups will come to the church only interested in playing their music and then are content to leave without much interaction with the people they’ve come to ‘minister’ to. What impressed me so much about Thalon, apart from their giftedness as musicians, came down to two things. First was their obvious care and concern for the students. They were available as the students arrived and did not even begin to break down their gear until the last student left. Second was their depth. I love music AND the entertainment associated with it, but in sharing their heart they emphasized the point of why they do what they do – all for His glory and the sharing of the gospel of Christ. I highly recommend the guys of Thalon.
