Highly energized, spiritually solid, and exuberantly humble describes the three piece band known as Thalon. Their down to earth, rock solid sound and ministry echoes across the nation as they put their new show and new CD, “The Divinia Scene,” on the road. This new project is produced by Tomas Costanza for Chamberlain Records. Tomas’ credits include tours with Simple Plan, Hoobastank, Good Charlotte, and Lifehouse as well as tracking experience alongside Don Gilmore (Linkin Park), Mark Trambino (Blink 182), and Steve Albini (Led Zeppelin, Nirvana).

“The Divinia Scene” will mesmerize the listener as the catchy melodies and guitar laden tracks send you on a musical crusade to the forgotten land of rock and roll. Thalon’s music and incredible live concerts are surpassed only by their desire to share Christ with the youth of America, and to connect with them on a personal level. One concert convinces. One concert motivates. One concert sets belief in motion.

Traveling as a speaker around the country I am constantly with different bands.Thalon is as good as any band I’ve ever been with.They are unbelievably talented and have a heart for the Lord.Their energy and enthusiasm is contagious!

Here in the Refuge Student Ministry, we are big on worship and we love to check out different worship bands. We have had a lot of bands come in and lead worship…some were just ok and some blew us away. Thalon is one of those that blew us away. Their music was great, but that is not what did it for us, what did it was their heart for God and love for our kids. After the worship set was over, they asked me if they could hang out with our kids. They stayed for the next 2 or 3 hours and just got to know our students. It is that heart and life examples that I want my kids to see. I appreciate Thalon and their ministry and at Refuge they have made life-long friends and fans. They are the best! I cannot wait until we worship with them again….and we will worship with them again!

I just don’t know where to start.  Their music is awesome.  The sound that they produce is both unique and well, just good. They are by far the most personable band that I have ever dealt with.  They actually remembered some of the students names (from a previous event).  That’s just unheard of.  They hung out with us on Saturday and even joined in during some of the games that we played.  Those are things that I just really don’t expect when I book a band.  The teens are already asking when we are going to have them back. Austin said that they were here to serve us, and they certainly did that.  I can’t imagine being more pleased with them. Most importantly they lived what they were singing about.  They exemplify the life that we as Christians are supposed to live.  What an awesome testimony that these guys have. Thalon is the best band ever!

The First Baptist Church Youth Ministry of Starkville, MS had the opportunity to host the guys of Thalon on a Wednesday night. Being involved in youth ministry for many years, you see all kinds of groups come in to lead. Occasionally musical groups will come to the church only interested in playing their music and then are content to leave without much interaction with the people they’ve come to ‘minister’ to. What impressed me so much about Thalon, apart from their giftedness as musicians, came down to two things. First was their obvious care and concern for the students. They were available as the students arrived and did not even begin to break down their gear until the last student left. Second was their depth. I love music AND the entertainment associated with it, but in sharing their heart they emphasized the point of why they do what they do – all for His glory and the sharing of the gospel of Christ. I highly recommend the guys of Thalon.
